Katelyn McKenzie

I graduated in 2015 from the Animal Care Program at Durham College and while taking this program, I realized working in a veterinary hospital was my calling. After working in a couple of clinics from 2015-2017, I was fortunate enough to join the Sherbourne Animal Hospital team in September 2017 and I have been extremely grateful to meet amazing colleagues, clients, and pets over the years. In my fourth year here, I was promoted to Technician after learning various skills and acquiring knowledge in this role and I couldn’t be happier.

My passion for animals, especially cats, came at a very young age so I have always owned a cat (or two!) and I love helping people when it comes to their pets. When I am not working in the hospital, I assist a few elderly clients with nail trims and minor grooming as well as cat sitting for friends and colleagues.

I currently have an 8-year-old Domestic Shorthair named Nala, but I am looking to expand my fur family with a puppy soon!
